Audiobrain has collaborated extensively with Whirlpool and KitchenAid to create sonic identities and branded product sounds. We developed the comprehensive audio strategies for both brands, which included the composition of sonic logos as well as the creation of many customized product sounds for a wide array of offerings.


Audiobrain was asked by the Whirlpool Design Center to propose a sonic strategy, official audio language, and creative content for the Whirlpool and KitchenAid brands. New technology allowed us to move beyond monophonic piezo buzzers to more expressive and intuitive polyphonic sounds that create a more engaging user experience. Our role was to establish a strong sonic branding strategy that would align well with each brand and to develop unique, differentiating sounds from a robust musical foundation.

The KitchenAid audio strategy is clearly articulated through the company’s unique brand lens and offers intuitive sounds that users can “feel” as much as they can hear. Our expertise in advanced technologies allowed us to hone custom product sounds to create a recognizable, sustainable sonic perspective that can be evolved to future offerings and market communications.
