Audiobrain has completed our voicecasting, recording music and sound design for the fifth installment in this wonderful, free, educational game.

Interactive Game development firm Electric Funstuff and New York public media partner THIRTEEN have launched “Up from the Dust,” the fifth interactive experience in the award-winning Mission US series of free, digital role-playing games created to engage middle and high school students in U.S. history.

In “Up from the Dust,” players step into the shoes of Ginny and Frank Dunn, 14-year-old twins on a family-owned wheat farm in Texas in the 1930s.

Alternating between Ginny and Frank's viewpoints, players encounter a variety of perspectives on the Depression and the challenges faced by ordinary citizens. The game is available for free at mission-us.org and will be available for purchase as a mobile tablet app.

Thanks to David and all at EFS, Jill, Michelle and all at WNET and our Amarillo collaboratorswho helped make this experience authentic, informative and fun!
